Marble statuette of a Satyr

Unknown provenance. 2nd c. BC.
(ΕΑΜ/ΝΑΜ Γ 4800)

The statuette is part of a group of a young Satyr and a child, which he was carrying, as indicated by its hand on the left shoulder of the Satyr. The sculptural rendering and the posture indicate influence by Classical, Polykleiteian or Praxiteleian prototypes.
