Rare stone frying pan from chlorite schist

From Cyclades, probably from the island of Naxos. Early Cycladic II, 2800-2300 BC.

Its sophisticated and elaborated decoration probably renders in an abstracted manner the foaming sea, which is full of waves, hazards and challenges, maybe the Aegean Sea, that surrounds the Cyclades.
